POTTER AT OUR STUDIO

Connect with other beginner potters in the atmosphere of a pottery studio. Immersive and hands-on, you’ll show up curious and we will teach you how to bring a vision to life.

We potter at our studio in West Seattle located on Harbor Avenue, where we host small, affordable pottery handbuilding workshops and classes along with drop-in studio sessions.

Limited to only six potters per session.

PRIVATE POTTERY LESSONS

Together, we’ll create a lesson plan based on your interests, whether that’s learning the fundamentals of clay, exploring intermediate handbuilding techniques, or developing confidence with glazing and surface design.

Available in 1, 2, or 3-hour sessions, private lessons are perfect for adults, children ages 8 and up, homeschool students, and anyone who benefits from personalized attention. Book your private lesson and start creating with confidence.

POTTER PARTIES BOOK THE STUDIO

Some of the best memories are made when people gather around a table to create something together. A private pottery party is a chance enjoy time with the people who matter most.

Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, gathering with friends, hosting family, or bringing coworkers together, everyone will leave with more than a handmade piece. They’ll leave with a shared experience and memories that last long after the clay is fired.

OPEN STUDIO

Wednesdays from 6-8 PM $45

Need creative time? Join our weekly Open Studio—$45 includes everything, guidance, materials, and kiln firings.

Join us on Wednesdays from 6 PM to 8 PM for Open Studio at Potterings! This is your chance to explore, create, and experiment with clay in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Whether you’re new to pottery or an experienced potter looking to make a piece of pottery, our open studio time is perfect for practicing techniques or just having fun with clay.

Limited to four students per open studio to ensure plenty of individual instructor time.

Each month, we feature a seasonal piece of pottery we’ll make together, it’s a perfect way to start your pottery collection. Open studio time is your time to create a unique piece of pottery. You can also choose to make one of our monthly highlighted projects.

JUNE – Make a ceramic wall hanging (great for kids too 8yo +)

JULY – Make an oil diffuser

AUGUST – Make some bee flowers for thirsty bees

SEPTEMBER – Make four botanical fridge magnets

OCTOBER – Make a pumpkin luminary

NOVEMBER – Make a salt pig and spoon (makes a fun Christmas gift)

DECEMBER – Make a mini Christmas tree luminary

Kids! Clay Class!

Friday, July 17, 10 AM – 12 PM $50

Minimum age: 8 years old
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

Get ready for a fun-filled morning of creativity, clay, and adorable handmade animals. In this hands-on kids pottery class, young artists will learn how to turn a simple pinch pot into their very own clay creature using texture, shapes, and imagination.

From silly monsters and sleepy cats to turtles, owls, and frogs, every child will create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece to cherish.

All materials are included. Just bring your creativity and clothes you don’t mind getting a little muddy.

Spaces are limited to six kids, so reserve your spot early, this class is sure to be a fun and creative experience for all ages. Includes instruction, tools, clay, glazes and kiln firings.
