Your West Seattle Art Adventure Awaits - Saturday, June 14, starting at 10 am.

The Game of Shrooms is an annual international art-and-seek event where artists from around the world create mushroom-themed art and hide it in public spaces for anyone to discover and take home. It’s a day of community, creativity, and thrilling treasure hunting.

Potterings has been busy crafting a special collection of 15 one-of-a-kind pottery mushrooms, each lovingly made and ready to find new homes for 15 lucky West Seattle residents. Will you be one of the lucky finders? This is super family-friendly, and FREE!

Each month, we spotlight a talented student in our Potterings community.

Meet Carly (well, at least her bowl) - new to Seattle from Los Angeles, she had a fantastic idea: create her own vegetable bowl rather than picking one up from a big box store. She envisioned an organic, sculpted look, and achieved it using clay 'slugs' to help the bowl dry evenly. Keep an eye on our newsletter for a photo of the finished, fired piece! I enjoyed our time during the Wednesday open studio.

Trying a new skill, such as pottery, shouldn't be expensive. Our workshops are an affordable $45 per 3 HR session. All workshops include open studio time for you to come back to glaze your creation.

Working from the corner of your living room, the garage or (as we started) storing pottery equipment in a guest shower, you know how space can inhibit creativity. Explore Clay at Your Own Pace – Open Studio Nights at Potterings $40 

Join us on Wednesdays from 6 PM to 8 PM for Open Studio at Potterings! This is your chance to explore, create, and experiment with clay in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Whether you're new to pottery or looking to sharpen your skills, our open studio time is perfect for practicing techniques or just having fun with clay.

An experienced instructor will be available to offer guidance and support as you work. Each month, we feature a seasonal piece of pottery we'll make together. It's a perfect way to start your pottery practice.
