Potterings offers affordable 3-hour classes for beginning potters. Each class is limited to six people to maintain an engaging and immersive experience. We teach at local pottery studios, in businesses, or book a private pottery party in your home.

PLAY WITH CLAY

CREATIONS BUILT BY STUDENTS

Make something with your own hands as you explore the world of pottery. Classes are designed for beginner potters who are excited to open up the world of clay. Potterings provides 3 hours of instruction, tools, clay, glazes, and kiln firing. All pieces can be picked up 3-4 weeks after the class.

Connect with other beginner potters in the atmosphere of a pottery studio. Immersive and hands-on the studio series provides a peek into the world of studio work.

We have partnered with the folks at The Clay Cauldron located in West Seattle, Washington to host small and immersive pottery classes.

POTTER AT A BREWERY

Engaging and vibrant, potter at a local brewery, coffeeshop or retail shop.

Designed to spark conversation, pottering in the heart of a business will give you all of the interest in being inside a bustling business, while also providing the immersive hands-on experience you expect from the Potterings instructors.

POTTER PARTY AT HOME

Learn the art of pottering in the comfort of your home. These classes are designed for friends and family members who are seeking a fun and unique way to bring people together.

These classes are perfect for get togethers, wine nights, bridesmaid or wedding showers.

Limited to six potters but we can accommodate more upon request.

Make a Luminary

Create a pierced constellation, ceramic luminary. Reminiscent of the night sky, your handmade luminary emanates a soft glow when lit with a candle. You will learn slab rolling, piercing, joining, and glazing.

Saturday, November 16 – 1pm to 4pm (Snowflake theme)

Happy Bee Bowls

Make Two Bee Bowls

Thirsty pollinators will celebrate your garden with two flower-inspired staked bee bowls. Each bee bowl will be completed with a teeny tiny bee. You will learn how to create pinch pots, roll and form clay, use techniques to create a flower and glazing.
